Meant to write on this sometime back, but just didn't have the energy. Just around a month ago, when questioned about whether the transport cost will be lowered in line with the declining petrol cost, our current Minister of Transport (didn't bother to remember his name) says that the petrol cost did not directly have a part to play in the fare hikes previously, and people should not expect it to fall accordingly.
Dear Friends, one day when you reach a managerial position. Remember that credibility is very important. When the newspapers have previously interviewed your SMRT CEO about the fare hike, he mentioned that the hikes are not even enough to cover the rise in fuel costs and the fare hikes are justifiable. Now that the fuel cost are coming down, you mentioned a totally different thing from your subordinate. Oops, I forgot its suppose to be a seperate entity between Govt and the SMRT..oops forgive me and don't charge me pls. Just like how I couldn't bother to remember your name .I.
